Peachy is a collection of poems and stories by Angie Patton published in 2024. This collection won the Emily Dickinson Poetry Award. The collection reads like a diary exploring grief, family relationships, and coming to terms with what remains.

about the writer
Angie Patton is an award winning writer and poet. She is the 2025 Poet Laureate for the City of Urbana. Her book, Peachy, won the Emily Dickinson Poetry Award. Angie continues to write as a freelancer and poet. She is the creator of the Cross Town Poets event and podcast. She was recently featured during the 2025 Pygmalion Festival.

Angie began her career in journalism before she knew better. She has been a writer and communications professional in some capacity her whole life. Angie also loves a good documentary and has been lucky enough to produce short documentaries for the University of Illinois.
